Extremely satisfied
I ordered the Complete Fifth Season as a gift for my sister. Fast delivery, secure packaging. She was overjoyed. I also bought her the soundtrack of the 4th season and she loves it.

the l word
I am a fan of this show and will follow it through it's final season. It
is innovative and for the most part well done. Some of it is definitely overkill but I think its appeal is universal. I recommend it--but anyone
who buys this should watch the earlier seasons.

Best Season Ever!!!!!
To anyone who is an L Word fan this was the season of all seasons! Jenny and her crazy movie, Shane and her shane-nanagins, Alice and Tasha, Helena as we've never seen her before, and of course, the reunion of Bette and Tina...ahhh! We met a whole new cast of characters from Lez Girls and of course, Dawn Denbo and lover Cindy!

From movie sets, to pot brownie parties, to hot elevator sex and a rousing game of "I Never" around a campfire, Season 5 is the season to own!!!

L-word, Shayne keeps gettin' hotter and hotter!!!
All I will say is that some parts were heart wrenching, some parts hilarious, some parts really steamy, but the ending is just making me really wanting to purchase season 6!!!

We're almost at the end...
Season 5 of The L Word is the second to last season of the show. I've watched (and rewatched) every season and I'm disappointed that the show will be ending after season 6. Lesbians have fallen in love with the characters and storylines. We've cried, laughed, thrown a shoe at the TV a couple of times, and not until season 4 did I begin to realize what attracts us to the show. The lesbian communtity doesn't have much in the form of entertainment that we can all discuss and connect with. The L Word, through all of its six seasons, have given us something.

In season 5, we're introduced to a few new characters. New characters mean new storylines which sort of make you scratch your head because with only 8 episodes in season 6, they have a lot of loose knots to tie and new storylines mean more knots. But let's talk about the most important characters-the main ones that we've loved since the beginning...

Alice-As we know from season 4, Tasha and Alice have different opinions on the war in Iraq. In this season, Tasha and Alice's relationship is truly tested when Tasha is being investigated for "homosexual conduct".

Jenny-I actually really liked Jenny this season. Although I wouldn't want her as a friend, she's really funny and quite out there. Filming for her movie Lez Girls begins and she meets a girl who she falls for.

Bette/Tina-The love triangle between the two and Jodi is almost enough to make my head hurt. What would you do if you had feelings for two people? Bette must ultimately make a decision.

Shane-Shane meets a new girl this season who happens to be straight. But as we all know, not even straight girls are a problem for Shane.

Kit-Kit runs into a few problems of her own when Dawn Denbo and her lover Cindy open a new lesbian club. Dawn and Cindy clearly love competition but they certainly take it to new heights.

Max-Max is learning a lot about himself this season. As a woman born a lesbian, he turns into a "straight" man, who then turns into a gay man. Woah.

Helena-Helena's presence isn't very important this season until the end when she comes to Kit's rescue.

If I'm comparing this show to my other favorite shows, it's not anything spectacular. In fact, quite a few things annoy me every season. The actors/actresses aren't all that great, the storylines can either be boring or over the top, and nothing truly shocking ever happens. However, my love for Alice, the few laughs that I get, and the fact that this is pretty much the only show specifically for lesbians keep me coming back. I can't wait to see what season 6 brings us.
