CSI Miami Season 6
This is one of the greatest seasons. I LOVE all the characters and they all have such a chemistry that it would be so sad if any of them left. In this season there are issues with characters leaving so I am hopeful that it will correct itself in Season 7. I HIGHLY recommend this series. 2008-10-04

should be renamed CSI: Horatio Caine
I love CSI: Miami, I love the characters, the interesting and original crimes and the setting; but the last two seasons have really made Miami become my least favorite of the CSI franchise.
I know each show has to have it's main hero, but COME ON THERE ARE 5 TO 6 OTHER MAIN CAST HERE! In season 6 particular the rest of the main cast was so very under used in order to give; yet again; more drama and focus on Mr. Caine.
What about giving us more info on Calliegh's on again off again relationship with Berkley, more screentime devoted to Alexx's disdain with her job which caused her to leave. Don't just make one episode about that and have her leave at the end, talk about a major cope out!! what about the distrust that had grown between Wolfe and Natalia completely dropped as if nothing ever happened. (oh wait, there was one 5 second exchange at the driving range...sorry) How about actually giving Tripp some story line. "i got promoted and had to serve some time back on the beat for 3 episodes" then thrown into a background character. and, let's have more than 5 minutes given to Eric's struggle with his head injury.
I still enjoyed the 6th season of Miami, but what was the point of the rest of the cast being in the show. NY and regular are great in giving every character ample screen time to play out decent character growth, yet the most popular of the 3 can't get over their iconic leading man.
If focusing mostly on Horatio continues, I may just stop watching the show all together. come on CBS, let's give the cast something to do other than look good and solve a murder. Give Horatio a vacation to just be the boss of the lab and give Calleigh a season long story arc.
Oh, and the creation of Kyle Harman, that's digging the bottom of the barrel. Next thing you know Horatio use to be a woman and his ex husband will come back to get revenge for stealing the Colonel's secret recipe.

Stilted dialogue and wooden acting.
Maybe I am being too harsh. Maybe I am unknowingly comparing this series to the Las Vegas series. Whatever it is, this season of CSI: Miami is missing something. The acting seems so forced and over the top (more than usual). Khandi Alexander's character has been annoying since the inception, but she is just wacked out this season. And I don't know if it's the writing, but it is as if the characters do not even listen to the dialogue of the other characters; they just kind of randomly come out with non sequiters (sp?) or something that has nothing to do with what was said before. It's as if they are all in a daze. Maybe it's always been like this and I just didn't notice, but I don't think so. What I really think is that this is a show about to 'Jump the Shark', or has done so, but we just haven't realized it yet. I guess we just need to see Horatio Caine waterski jumping a pool of sharks while adjusting the sunglasses on his face. 2008-09-24

Complete Garbage...!!!
man i dunno what everyone else who reviewed this was watching but to me CSI Miami is the worst of the csi shows. matter of fact, i think the other shows are all ok, this one is the only one that sucks. what are these guys, the best cops ever or what? in every episode the crimes are always solved in a matter of hours, the criminals are stupid as hell. one recent episode i saw was using music from an old Clint Eastwood movie in relation to horatio like he's supposed to be that kind of guy, he sucks. i hate the way he talks, he's not a gunslinger. all the cops are made out to be these supercops, it's completely unrealistic. how come people they wanna talk to are always in town & readily available to talk to? it's crap. calliegh's a self righteuos stuck up beeaatch that should be brutaly done in. the hispanic cop should've died in the episode with the sniper when he got shot. Boa Vista should catch breast cancer. the guy who works at the firing range shoud've lost an eye when he was shot with the nail gun. horatios kid should've died in prison or been killed by that scumbag who was nailing his moms & the show should end with horatio being killed the same way denzel died in Training Day. either that or getting his face blown off again like how he did in King Of New York. out of all the cop shows i have ever seen in my life i have to rank this one as the worst ever. you wanna watch a real Miami cop show, watch the box set of Miami Vice, now that was a cop show. the show was alot more realistic than csi miami's wannabe wild wild west. 2008-09-21

Most thrilling show on TV
After six seasons they still have it.
The cliffhanger suggests death, but he's not dead, why else would Ryan of all people, get the "ITS DONE" call, HELLO. The eighth season wouldn't last three episodes without its main character, plus they had way too many likable characters killed off in the last few seasons to survive another replacement.
Then again, they did say with those new bullets, "every shot is a kill shot," so what we could have here is the writers' attempt at the death of Captain America. An event so tragic it draws in a new audience; opens up room for new characters to cater to a new demographic. Plus if that's the case then Ryan is a new traitor in the midst, very spooky. Fun to watch though.
