Great show but short season
The Blu-ray quality was excellent. It was unfortunate that there were only a handful of episodes. 2008-09-29

Awesome
The quality of the Blu-ray is amazing. The only problem I had was that I watched the whole season in abotu 2 nights! Darn writers strike. Oh well, I have season 3 now. It has many bonus features and other features which are fun. 2008-09-27

This is the best way to enjoy Season 2.
I think this is the best way to see Season 2 of "Heroes." Low expectations, given the weak word-of-mouth, and the pristine AV quality of Blu-ray. And you don't have to wait a week to get your next fix.
I loved every minute of this season. Especially when you peruse the extras, and see how this may have all played out if not for the writer's strike. Every episode has a cliff-hanger, and each subsequent one delivers several pay-offs and knockout moments that will keep you up at night.
Seriously, I found myself completely engaged with the whole cast. The numerous complaints that they "spent too much time" with our heroes' individual stories is unfounded, as you can clearly see they would have been all heading to Odessa, Texas had it been a full season.
The actors do some of their best work to date. Soecifically, Hayden Panettiere and Masi Oka are flat-out amazing. The range they show across these eleven episodes is astonishing. Every one else, for the most part, excels as well. Except maybe the whole Mexican-immigration-black-eyeball storyline, which is only really highlighted by the impossibly creepy Sylar performance of Zachary Quinto.
The plots have great twists, great action sequences...the visuals are terrific, as you'd expect. It's all delivered flawlessly on these four BD discs. Again, check out the extras, which fill out the story nicely.
And I finished it JUST in time for the new season, for which now I simply cannot wait!

Buyer Beware
I can't really review the content, because I held off watching Season 2 for the Blu Ray realease. After returning two copies, I learned that the set won't play on BRD players which do not have the current 3.95 Firmware upgrade.
I love the way that Blu Ray looks, but between the price differential and keeping up with firmware upgrades I sort of regrett the investment.
Firmware upgrades are available on line at WWW.sonystyle.com or by calling Sony for a disc with installation instructions. Would have been nice if this would have been noted somewhere on the packaging!!!!!
