I don't watch many sitcoms, but I really enjoy this one. The writing is fresh and the characters have a little more depth than most other sitcoms. The running jokes are a personal favorite. Who could forget their first Slapsgiving? However the show does depict lots of excessive drinking and some drug use (always hilariously).

How I Met Your Mother season 3 starts off a little slow, but really picks up quick. Season 3 puts HIMYM in the upper echelon of comedy shows on tv right now because it is maintaining a high level of excellence without faltering like other popular shows such as the Office.
