Stunning Quality!!!!
Black and White Night was a great concert to begin with, featuring a lot of big names.... but the quality is amazing! The only other copy of Black and White Night that I had was VHS, so imagine the drastic change to Blu-ray. I was so amazed..... Getting back to the actual concert, it was very well done. The cinematography was also well done, the camera angles, the production, and just the fact that it was in black and white were all brilliant ideas. I am so glad that they came out with this on Blu-ray, the quality is absolutely stunning!

love blu ray!!!
I never realized how much more crisp and clean Blu-ray is compared to DVD. It's amazing that they could get it to look so good. I also love how on the Blu-ray they included "Blue Angel", one of my all-time favorites!

classic
Sometimes I can't believe that they could get all these people together for a show like this, just good, old-fashioned, music. Today it is so difficult to get stars together for concerts (that aren't for a cause or something). This concert is a must have, and should be included in every Blu-ray/DVD library.

Wow
I read this and thought I'd share...I couldn't have said it any better! "The 1.78:1 widescreen presentation uses an AVC MPEG-4 codec and looks outstanding. You don't really have much dimensionality in the feature, but the clarity of the picture is excellent. I could spot small gouges in guitar faces and detail in Orbison's face, film grain is prevalent, particularly when you see shots of the crowd and/or background musicians, and blacks look consistent for the most part of the feature. Having never actually sat down and watched this performance before, I was wowed on how it looked in high definition."

Amazing Performance made even better by an Amazing Transfer
I've seen bits and pieces of this over the years, and I snaped this up on a Black Friday Deal for less than $10.00. It was well worth it. This Performance is quite a spectacle, and is worthy of a viewing by any fan of music, period. I'm shocked at how great this film looks on blu ray (It is 1080i according to the box, though it looks better than a lot of other BRD I own.) The picture is crystal clear, and you can see everything perfectly. Everything. Seriously. I was floored by the quality. The sound is great as well, though, because the DTS-HD master 5.1 audio track would not play correctly on my PS3 and Phillips HDTV. (I don't have a reciever at the moment.) The Dolby Digital 5.1 PCM track seemed fine to me. My father watched it on his HDTV with an older Sony receiver and says that the person who did the mixing on this was great, and that it sounds just like it should. You can hear the audience in the background and he said the surround sound was very well done. I would whole hearted recommend this to anyone as a must see.
