Star Trek The Original Series - The Complete Second Season (Remastered)

The discs themselves are in great condition. The box however was broken so doesn't work as expected.

I watched scratchy Star Trek reruns on UHF when I
was younger. The difference is...well, light-years!
These discs seem to beyond even the usual cleanup
effects. There is detail, but the color is spot-on
true to the cheesy props, and some of the added
footage, like in "Amok Time", is super. You can
see the pulp sci-fi art-work, the wardrobe details
in "A piece of the Action", the funky face pigments
on the 'aliens'. Sound is super. My daughter is
enjoying the cool packaging,too.
It costs, but it's great.

We LOVE it!! Fabulous job remastering! I would highly recommend it to Trekkies and non-Trekkies alike.

Just got my season 2 and I love it! the box is small beautiful & elegant the new visual effects are very nice I think Star Trek needed the face left so that newer generation can actually watch it and understand its value this is a premium product and a must have for Star Trek fans and collectors the only down side is that I was expecting it to released in Blu-ray since season 1 was available on HD which unfortunately is gone anyhow DVD is good enough for me all in all excellent product that I highly recommend.

This was for my husband who is a fan, but like the TOS First Season set, the remastering is really nice with added effects and the clean up of the original is so good you can see seam lines on the actor's clothes and the colors are vibrant and accurate to when originally aired. This comes from a reliable source-my husband who is not only a professional costumer, but worked on Next Gen, and has been asked over the years to authenticate quite a few original costumes from the TOS era. The only complaint I have is against Toshiba for pulling out of the HD system manufacturing so quickly. We were both really looking forward to seeing the TOS Second Season in that format as the First Season looks SO good. Oh well.
