Stargate Atlantis - The Complete Fourth Season

Stargate Atlantis season four was great! I have had no problems with any of the disks so far and shipping was quick. My package arrived within days of ordering. I have no complaints.

I put my feet up, turn on audio video that do justice to this fine sci fic and travel with them to where they take me with them without the problems associated with traveling now a days.

A great start to this season and a good ending too, although it's a shame it didn't end on a cliffhanger. Far too many bottle shows (shows set largely in one location with few actors to save on money), presumably to make up for the expense of some of the bigger episodes, though Trio, as its making-of reveals, was the exception, a bottle show as expensive as one of the bigger ones. The middle of the season sagged due largely to the bottle shows or shows with trite storylines. Overall, I enjoyed the season but my biggest gripe, besides the large number of bottle shows, was the lack of any new villains. The Replicators have been done to death, which has been aknowledged by the writers insofar as they essentially leave the series halfway through this season, though the Wraith and Michael are still interesting characters. As Stargate SG1 did, the writers and producers need to inject new blood into the show, in terms of scary new villains. Great to see Sam Carter lead the show, though many will be disappointed not to see the previous leader of the Atlantis base continue.

Season four kicks off right in the middle of the action. I won't give any spoiler but I will say that Ronan Dex comes into it more in this series and there is a lot of action surrounding Taylor.
I found all of the episodes enjoyable but i have to say the ones' with Ronan i enjoyed the most, but maybe thats because he's my favourite!
However, saying all that, the ending of this season is a bit of a dissappointment to me as it seem's that it has been rushed to make way for season five. It would have been better if they spread the last episode over two or three more as there are only 20 episodes in this season.
On the side of the extras a lot of them are commentaries but there are featurettes that make this worth buying especially if you are a die hard fan like me!
