The Closer - The Complete Third Season

In Season Three, 'The Closer' cements its reputation as one of the smartest, sharpest, cleverest and most humorous ensemble dramas on television. Kudos to Kyra Sedgwick for creating one of the most complex and consistently entertaining female characters ever in a series. The third season features some of the best acting and the most complex storylines to date. Sedgwick anchors the show as the inimitable Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, but she does not create this excellence in a vacuum--she gets outstanding support from crackerjack scripts and the other members of the cast, who are all colorful and loveable in their own right. As the series has progressed, the Priority Homicide Squad has taken on the tone of a real family, with all the squabbling and deep loyalties that go along with it. Though I am hard-pressed to pick a favorite among the supporting cast, I have to say that Jon Tenney as FBI Agent Fritz Howard is the hottest Feebie ever, in or out of the real Bureau! I guess I will have to wait until Season Four comes out on DVD to see what further havoc Brenda wreaks on their relationship. This series is a MUST OWN!

My wife is a CLOSER fanatic. so with the ability to pre=order, and receive the 3rd season upon its release was rewarding. I have always received great prices and service from Amazon.com.

My household doesn't even have cable but we got hooked on this series through my parents. Now we own seasons 1-3 on DVD and watch and rewatch the episodes. The crime stories (and interrogation scenes) are good, but it's the characters that keep you coming back for me. Season 3 took huge steps in deepening the characterizations and making the relationships more complex--all without making the series a soap opera!

The DVD came before I was expecting it, which is always good, and in very good shipping condition.

Tonight's the night for the 4th season to begin and I'm so anxious to see it as with EVERY SINGLE EPISODE that has been shown from day 1. The 3rd season was as great as the first 2 seasons, hopefully it will run through season 10 and I will be happy that I purchased every single season. Every single actor in this show does an incredible job, everything just flows together in harmony. Its got everything you could wish for, drama, laughter, anticipation, etc. Each episode makes you hunger for more, can't wait for the next show. Even the pay stations such as HBO,Showtime, etc. can't even come up with one (1)movie as good as each episode of The Closer. Love it Love it Love it!!
