Everybody Loves To Zoom
If you're a motorcyclist, but don't watch racing, you'll certainly love FASTER nontheless. Even if you don't own a bike, you'll likely enjoy most of this short film. The dvd includes a sequel with multiple extra scenes on both discs, making the price worthwhile.
Great camera work, gives a great perspective of what it's like to lean knee deep into the corners on a sport bike. Narration by Ewan MacGregor gives descriptions for those unfamiliar with the Moto GP world.
Great insights into the psychology of risk, such as when the staff physician says "Mick Doohan taught me how to live".

Maybe my expectations were too high
I read the reviews for this DVD, and based on the virtually unanimous opinion that it was fantastic, I purchased it. I have to say, after watching it, I was fairly disappointed. It tells and shows little more than a well produced hour long documentary on TV might. It simultaneously attempts to tell some detailed history of Moto GP, and summarize the 2002 racing season. If it had done one (namely the history) I think it would have been far more successful. Racing footage was disappointingly minimal; a lot of it was used repeatedly. There are two things that perhaps make this DVD worth buying: first, talking with some of the great champions of Moto GP history (Schwantz, Rainey, etc.) and the gruesome injuries the current (and past) racers suffer but recover from thanks to Moto GP's fantastic doctor. 2006-05-31

Greatest Moto DVD Ever
Absolutely fantasic! If you like bikes, "Faster" is just incredible! The sequel that comes with it, "Faster and Faster", isn't as good, but still worth watching. 2006-03-23

Faster
I was really impressed with the depth and detail of the DVD. I felt as if I was one of the racers going 200mph down a track. The naration was excelent. 2006-03-21

Sums up everything I've ever felt about racing
This documentary I have to say sums up how I've felt about racing all my life. Calling this a movie is a far cry from the truth, though. It really is a documentary on MotoGP motorcycle racing, and it embodies everything about it.
Watching this gave me new-found respect for the MotoGP riders. (AMA also, although they are a different breed) Every single time I watch this, it gets my adrenaline rushing from the camera angles and the data being thrown at you. You can really lose yourself in this if you're a rider who has experienced that fine line between riding and racing.
The human aspect just adds that much more to it, with the rivalries that flare up into fierce competition.
