Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire: Live at the Greek Theatre [Blu-ray]

The Earth Wind & Fire section of this album is terriffic. Chicago sure can play great music, however their singing has a lot to be desired. Whoever produced this album for Chicago should find another job. Chicago's singing sounds like kids screaming.

I found this disappointing! without Maurice White and Peter Cetera it's just not complete. The performance is entertainging but just falls short without the two main guys. Leroy

There are very few ocasions when two of your favorite groups play together. Well, after more than 30 years these two did! Nothing else needs to be added, this is a GREAT show. The first thing that you notice is the huge ammount of songs. That by itself more than justifies the purchase. Then, you realize that not only they play together at the end, but they invite vocalists from each group to sing with the other group in several tracks. Also, for pure music lovers, they included a drum duel between both band drummers as a bonus.
Then there is the technical side of the disc. At first I was a little dissapointed to know that it is a 720p, 1080i recording; but believe me, the image is simply STUNNING. The sound is just perfect. I play HD-DVDs on an XBOX 360 Elite and there is absolutely no problem with it.

The performances were very average. If you want to see some good musicianship purchase the Eagles Farewell tour. EW&F and Chicago need to practice some more. I'm a fan of both bands, but this DVD is not worth having in your collection.

This HD DVD would not play on standard, enhanced, HD or Blu Ray DVD players. They were returned.
