Fool's Gold (Widescreen Edition)

Happy-Go-Lucky, Leave-Your-Brains-At-The-Door Fun!! I run decluttering and time management workshops for a living (inspiredhoney.com) and so I like to have a break once in a while and this breezy movie did it for me. Kate definitely channels her mum and actually Matthew seems to take a serious leaf from Kurt Russell's book. It's like Overboard for 2008 (Overboard is a must-see movie with Goldie Hawn & Kurt from the 1980s).

This movie was awful. The first movie in several years that has actually been painful to watch.

I had low expectations for this movie in the first place, (A friend chose it). I do like both actors, but Mathew's tan body was not enough to keep me interested for an hour and a half. boring and predictable.

I didn't expect much from this movie. I thought it would be light and cute, a no-brainer for a hot summer night. It was seriously one of the worst movies I've ever watched. Or almost watched. My husband and I both gave up with about 10 minutes left....we couldn't devote a minute more knowing there was no way to salvage it. I really thought even if the story stunk that Matthew and Kate would make it watchable. Not so. Don't waste your time.

Their spatting reminds me,somewhat, of Doris Day and Rock Hudson. Which in my opinion, is a compliment. I enjoyed the movie very much.
