Wow, just...wow
To be perfectly honest I'd never even heard of Jillian Michaels until last week. My sister was raving about her after watching her on the Biggest Loser. I desperately needed a change from my usual workout, read all the reviews here and bought the 30 Day Shred.
Holy freakin' moly! I consider myself a fit person. I do Jari Love's Slim&Lean 3-4 days a week and my job keeps me physically active everyday but I needed more cardio in my life. This DVD delivers! There are 3 different levels starting with level 1 for beginners and progressing to level 3. All are 20 minutes, about 1/2 hour with warm-up and cooldown. All combine strength and cardio and all that is required for equipment are a mat and a set of handweights. Start with a light weight and work your way up! I started with level 1 today and it literally kicked my butt. There is NO resting, if you need a drink of water you better have it right there and make it fast. There were a couple of times when I just could not finish the set even though there were only about 5 seconds left. I think she's very good at cueing and also a great motivator. She does have two others with her, with one demonstrating modified moves if you're just starting out. She also shows you the correct form for some of the moves you might hurt yourself with if not done properly.
This is my new workout DVD. I'm looking forward to progressing to the other levels to see what she has in store for us. The time absolutely flies because you're not stopping but you feel great when it's over. Really gets those endorphins flowing! It is hard but it's quick and it's fun and it's a workout that anyone can do.

A Challenge...yea!!!!!
WARNING: THIS DVD IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS...I REPEAT...THIS DVD IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS. For those of you who have been working out for years and you are looking for a challenge this dvd will do. Each level (there are 3) amounts to about 27min., but you will feel like you have been working out for an hour. While you're actually doing it you feel like "This is so Hard", but by the end you feel great, you feel like you have acomplished something. For the record, all of Jillian's DVDs are great challenges!!! 2008-11-26




AMAZING!
Jillian Michaels is amazing! This is the first work out DVD that was motivating for me. She gives pointers to make sure that you are doing the exercises correctly and motivates you to keep going. She feels like more of a personal trainer than someone just doing the video. Her workout was simple, but challenging. Most dvd's leave you feeling like you just did some stretches or weights, but I feel like I just came back from the gym. I thought I would miss the elliptical, but Michaels was better because I got a whole body work out! LOVE the dvd! 2008-11-26




Tough
Great full workout, easy at the beginning and gets tougher with other levels. I started seeing results right away. The only thing I didn't like is that you can't fast-forward the intro and you have to wait every time you put it in. 2008-11-25




Wow
I just finished my first workout with this dvd and wow! I work out once a week in an advanced yoga class with lots of plank holds, push ups, and lung type exercises and thought this dvd would be easy/medium for me. Boy, was I wrong. I just did the first class a few hours ago and my arms are sore already. (I did just do another bootcamp video yesterday and I am sore from that too.) Jillian kicked my butt and I'm ready to go back for more! 2008-11-25
