Yes!!!!
I am a big Superman fan. I absolutely love Smallville. There are so many mixed reviews about this season, I don't understand. I am such a loyal fan, I simply love the fact that new episodes are available. If it were up to me, the show would continue until its 15th season. Hahaha 2008-10-30

It's no plane, it's no bird, it doesn't fly...
First of all, my compliments to Amazon: when they say two workdays for international shipping, they mean it! Thanks. Also, the US DVD boxes are somewhat prettier than the international versions, including interior cover art and a booklet (region 2 boxes just have 3 dvd slim cases). As for specials, two featurettes, a gallery, unaired scenes and two commentaries are alright, but it seems we are not getting gag reels and behind the scenes videos anymore, which is regrettable.
Smallville easily gets you hooked. Season 7 has plenty of action plus relationship development, so you won't be disappointed. However, I agree with other reviewers that since season 6 both world building plus the overall seasons-spanning story ark have gotten more and more neglected. Since Martha Kent's exit from the series, it is almost as if she never existed: where are the notorious mum phone calls with motherly advice (even a non-trained actor like Tom Welling should be able to fake a phone conversation)? Who is doing the paper work connected to running a farm, or the cattle sales? Where is the money coming from? It's almost as if the Kent farm turned into a Kara-Lois-Clark commune, with no responsibilities attached for anyone. And I know that from the beginning the writers credo was "no tights, no flights", but Clark's doing super jumps now instead of (slowly, maybe) learning to fly (remember we already saw him floating in season 1?) appears more and more as what it is, a not-story-connected, externally imposed restriction that starts to look silly.
I would hate to see this series go to the drains. Remember "Roswell", where hectic episode-to-episode writing was followed by a sudden, premature death of the series? The writers should be given a pay rise and made sure they have time to develop a story ark that includes loose ends from older episodes and ties the series back to its (fantastic) reality. At the moment, it seems more flying than floating in the direction of a dead end.

Most Enjoyable
We have gotten every season of Smallville since they've come out, and have thoroughly enjoyed the series. I believe after watching this season that this has been the best season so far.
A lot of twists and turns, introductions to new characters, some old faces, and a lot more development of Clark Kent into Superman. And let's not forget Supergirl...
So all in all, if you're thinking about buying this set, don't be afraid, it's worth it...probably more so than most of the others.

Smallville season 7
Another awsome season of smallville, and one step closer to the tranformation of clark into superman. 2008-10-23

Smallville continues to go UP, UP, and AWAY!
I have been hooked on this series since it began. I'm not even a big Superman fan, but I love what they've done with the comic mythos. Like all shows, some seasons are better than others. This one had a few lame episodes, but on the whole, was well paced, introduced future subplots, and wrapped up a lot of previous plots neatly. The Bizarro was a different twist - I didnt really like the effects, but the story was ok for what it was. I really liked what they did with Lex in this season - hes finally e-vile. As with each season it of course ends on a cliffhanger and I cant wait to pick up Season 8. 2008-10-22
