Bones - The Complete Second Season

Good series, I have not yet gotten to watching season two, but season one is a lot of fun. If you are a David Boreanz fan, you will like this series. I like it almost as much as the Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer series.

It continues with the same formula as Season One, which got me in from the start. So I enjoyed it and would recommend it to someone who enjoyed the first Season.

I love this show, great crime drama that focuses on Forensic Anthropology and all the main characters are great. I own both season's and can't wait for the third season to go to dvd. I love chemistry between Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz character.

As with all television series the first season is about the characters developing themselves, their relationships with each other, and gaining a fan base. The second season is where it really takes off or crashes. BONES took off. It took off big time. The romance between Angela and Hodgins, the problems that Brenna has with Cam, the stories that get even more weird, twisted and interesting. The headless witch, a series of copycat murders and even a dead astronaut. A must for any fan.

One would thing that a csi like series such as bones would avoid really corny love stories but alas the writers have delved a bit too far into the personal lives of two of the Jeffersonian scientists and created a truly corny story that is complete by adding in crappy soap opera music as they stare into each others eyes. Bones is an excellent show that excels when it focuses on Booth and Bones relationship as they solve murders. Heck even the other scientists add a whole lot to the series in the forms of comic relief and albiet unrealistic sciences such as Angelas 3d drawings of the victim on the giant holographic screen straight out of the Death Star. The main problem with bones is when it delves into the budding relationship of Hodgins and Angela and wastes time on it with corny lines. My wife loves the show and its one of her all time faves but i've grown out of love with it because of the aformentioned soap opera that runs the last half of season 2 and the first half of season 3. The season ending episode is especially bad as Hodgins and Angelas wedding is interrupted. I just hope if Booth and Bones ever do become romantically involved the writers stay away from these types of corny cliches. However, i think the writers are smart enough to keep Booth and Bones apart romantically so they can keep the chemistry coming. Afterall any show that rely's heavily on the chemistry of the main two characters goes to ruin after those two characters end up with one another. Bones is a good show that was developing into something special before the hodgins: angela storyline came along.
