WONDERFULLY AWESOME!!!!!
I have been a Temptations fan for years. If I could have rated this DVD the way I really wanted, I would give it 10 stars!
As other reviewers have said, listening to the a capella versions gives you an even deeper appreciation for the Tempts enormous talent. Their harmonies were always tight, but when you remove the background music, it is absolutely incredible.
The Tempts were so cool, so smooth with their precision dance steps, stylish wardrobe, and stage presence. The Tempts, particularly the Classic 5 (David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Paul Williams, Melvin Franklin, and Otis Williams), were tremendously talented individually...but as a group, they should have been the measuring stick for every male group that followed. In my opinion, they were the greatest.

Great showcase of true classic talent
I heard the a capella version of "I Wish it Would Rain" on the radio and decided to get the DVD for my husband as part of his Christmas gift. He said it was one of the best gifts he ever received! The performances are great and the singing is amazing! There's great never-before-seen interviews between the performances, also. 2008-01-19

Temptations - Get Ready
Otis Williams' narrative of the DVD is great. Lots of background info. However, I watched the actual performances with mixed feelings. Some were good, others were not as good. Camera angles are way off the mark on some, as explained in the booklet. I remember the Tempts being much more polished and precise than shown in this DVD. Most performances are taken from TV shows. I absolutely love the Temptations, but this DVD left me wanting much more. 2007-12-26

Original Temps at their best
Growing up in the era of Group Soul artist i.e ,The Dells ,Smokey and the Miracles, Manhatten's and of course The Temptations. The DVD is a history lesson of the Original Temptations, from their beginning and the forces of change not only in personnel but musical styles of the 70'ths and 80'ths. As prominence of all who can call themselves Temptations, the only disappointment was Otis not mentioning by name those who had a great part in the overall success of the Temps. The history can't be written without mentioning the like and styling of Ollie Woodson, Richard Street and the young man Melvin called the super-tenor Damon Otis Harris.Otis you can sat and count your royalties of all the Temps. hits but your pockets was lined with the talents you failed to mention by name. To the end those left out are still out there giving the history of the Temps. the glowing shine with their polish acts and great performances. A great DVD and could be greater with the inclusion of those who are the Temptations. 2007-12-23

Must have for Temptations or Motown Fans
This is a must have for any Temptations and/or Motown fan. The concerts are excellent quality and the interviews with Otis Williams are very insightful and priceless. Only caution is that it is hard to get it back if you let friends borrow it (might want to purcahse more than one copy if you plan to loan it out). 2007-12-21
