Great basic review!!!!
This 2 DVD set is a great review for basic calculus concepts. As others have pointed out, this set really is appropriate for Calculus I and does not pertain to Calculus II. It would be great if Jason produced a Calculus II DVD (or call it "advanced") for those of us who need more than what is provided in this basic set.
Although there is a plethora of review books out there, having a workbook or review book specific to the DVD set would also be a wonderful learning aid!
These DVD's (and the others produced by Jason) are concise, easy to understand and will help to clarify oft-used mathematical concepts. I would highly recommend these to anyone!

Great Supplement
Great product. That is not to say that this is all that you will need but acts as a wonderful supplement to any calculus course. It helped me greatly just to see the same lessons from a different instructor. I would recomend to anyone who really needs to get firm grip on Cal one. 2007-03-10

excellent review source
I purchased this for my daughter who is now in college and uses it as a great review and or learning resource. She was very pleased as to how simple and well explained the courses are and it even got her into a calculus class she wanted at her University by passing a test to be accepted into the class. thank you! 2007-01-22

should be helpful to most
let me just say this guy is a fantastic teacher. while watching his dvds (and ive watched two, the calculus series and the trig series)--i thought quite a few times, wouldnt it be nice if my college professors knew how to teach like this? ofcourse they can't even speak english.
anyways, this calc tutor dvd is superb if you are either in calc 1, or extremely extremely lost in calc 2. but don't assume just becuase its called 'the calculus 1 & 2 tutor' that it adequately covers calc II. it covers almost nothing. however, i sure wish i had this when i was in calc I. that said--if you are in dire need of help this may be your break. give it a try :)
just wanted to add the advantage of this dvd over having a live tutor--true you can't ask questions.. but you can rewind & rewatch to your hearts content, and you can pause it & try working out the problems, etc. try doing that with a human! or someone who only has an hour to work with you, and may get fustrated when they have to explain something 4 times. dvd's don't get annoyed! and did i mention how much more economical this option is? the hours of tutoring you get from this dvd for its price.. far ourweigh the mileage you'd get paying someone by the hour, for every hour..

A little light
This dvd set was little better than most I have used (the majority are not worth the time) but is still aimed very much at beginners. Covers the major topics, good for review and supplementary viewing. 2006-08-14
