The L Word - The Complete Second Season

Yet another season of awesome women leading some very interesting and humorous lives. The second season is going to hook you in so hard that you will need The L word all day and all night.

I enjoyed this season much more thoroughly than the first. Its alot more darker, dramatic, touching and yet, at the same time alot more humourous.

Shame the box is so large for 4DVDs only. What happened to the slimline boxsets?

The DVD set was in excellant condition, and there were no scratches or dirt on the product. Everything was sent in a timely manner and was in perfect condition! Thanks!

First of all, let me say that you don't need to be a lesbian to appreciate this show. Yes, it does touch on lesbian issues but it mostly involves the love lives of women.. who happen to love women.

If you've already seen the first season, you've already been introduced to the brilliant characters. While the first season did a great job of setting the scene/tone, it didn't really dig deep into the lives of its characters. This season begins to do that.

Kit takes over Marina's job at The Planet. Bette and Tina have even more troubling issues in their relationship. They prepare for the birth of their daughter, Anjelica.Shane continues to be a player but when new character Carmen comes along, we begin to see a change in her. Alice and Dana become the cutest couple ever. Jenny's relationship with Marina starts Jenny's struggle to figure out her sexual identity. And we're introduced to Helena, a character that will eventually play a bigger part in the show (and one of the many women that comes between Tina and Bette).

And of course it wouldn't be The L Word without the girls' usual crazy antics. Some stand out scenes include the girls' Olivia cruise, Dana and Alice's trip to a sex shop, Jenny and Shane's new roommate, and, well, Alice being Alice.

Those who enjoy behind the scenes footage will be pleased as this set has a few extras to enjoy. If you've seen season 1 and liked it, get this one as well. It has everything you like about season 1 and then some.

I absolutely love this show! I think it speaks to women in a lot of different ways! I truly love to sit down and just watch these shows back to back! Excellent choice!
