Nature movie-very family oriented.........................
Writer/director Jean-Jacques Annaud lays it on a bit thick with this family-driven nature film. The title refers to a pair of Indochina tigers, Kumal and Sangha, who are separated soon after their birth and are brought up in wildly different sets of circumstances. Sangha is domesticated by the family of the local French administrator, with the only child Raoul establishing a strong bond with the beast. Meanwhile, his brother, Kumal, suffers a more traumatic upbringing, sentenced to a life of performing in a travelling circus.
Though gorgeously made and featuring astounding performances from the pair of tigers, Two Brothers is a little too lightweight and dramatically underwhelming to set the pulse racing.

Two Brothers
This is a great movie for kids and adults. It held my attention and interest all through the movie. It's a great story, and touches the heart. I recommend it for any age group. I bought one for my grandkids and they watch it over and over again.

Disappointing.
I just expected a better story out of this one. THere was some nice footage, but the plot was predictable and boring. The cubs are seperated, both live hard lives, they are the set up to fight eachother, but oh- they recognized eachother, play for a while, and escape back to home where they reconnect with the mom. This film is extremely anthropomorphic in an annoying way. I'm selling my copy back cheap if anyone wants it.

A brotherhood of tigers.
A great and amazing cinematography. You meeta tiger eyes-to-eyes.A beautiful story, but if you are very sensitive, don't watch it.It is sad. They are Felini's family....big cats.If you like cats, naturally you'd like tigers. These striped cats are less than two hundreds exemplaries left in the world. The species are mostly killed by men like in this movie.Especially Bengal tigers.
A full screen movie and the whole beauty of a tiger.

BROTHERLY LOVE CAT STYLE
Jean-Jacques Annaud who gave us the wonderful THE BEAR once again brings us the joyous beauty of the natural world and its unbelievable wildlife in TWO BROTHERS. The brothers are two tiger cubs who are separated by a hunter (nicely underplayed by the talented Guy Pearce). One is whisked away to a circus to become a "deadly Caesar" while the other becomes the gift for the little son of a British administrator in Indochina (the delightful little Freddie Highmore, so good in FINDING NEVERLAND and CHARLEY AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY). The cubs grow up and how they reach each other is heartwarmingly told when the two are forced to face each other in a fight for the pleasure of a wealthy landowner.
Annaud lets the tigers be the true stars of the film and it's amazing how lifelike they are, and how our hearts ache with them during their period of capture and when their reunion comes, get out the hankies!
This is truly a family film although younger children may find their cruel treatment a little disturbing, but parents comfort them and tell them this is a story of nature and sometimes man can be the deadliest predator of all.
