The Worst Witch (The Movie)

Had this movie on VHS and my family wore it out.!An unexpected gem in the Harry Potter tradition.

The movie came in quickly and the product worked as promised!

It's the cheesiest movie ever, but I have loved it since it used to come on HBO around Halloween every year (mid-late 80's, I'm now 27 yrs old), so when it finally came out on DVD, I had to purchase it. The part when Tim Curry sings the "Anything can happen on Halloween" song...absolutely hilarious!!! Everyone needs to see this movie at least once!!

I saw this movie years ago and just had to have a copy again. It very much reminded me of Harry Potter (which I believe came after) - mischevious, misfit of a kid with a more skilled magical friend at a magic school, evil outside the gates, a powerful magic user as headmaster/mistress and another student nemesis. Still, a good time watching. Corny, of course, but in a good way. And Tim Curry's always fun to watch, even when he goes "over the top." I'd recommend for anyone who likes magic and good-vs-evil and growing-up movies.
