Shaolin Soccer

I really only wanted to see Vicki Zhao doing her thing but the whole movie seemed great. Obviously the visual effects were excellent and I loved the finishing goal against Team Evil. Woot!

P.S. 4 stars because neither the American nor the Import versions I got had the Special Features! The Import didn't even have the unique menu shown on the back cover (which also says special features). Ugh! Does anyone else have this problem? I.. want.. the.. special.. features.. (sob) unless there's some secret to accessing them... (sob)

WHAT AN IDIOT I AM. This is EASILY one of the 10 best movies that I have seen in 10 YEARS. Stephen Chow continues to prove hi brilliance with another touching story, with some of his most creative characters yet. I am still having a hard time deciding who my favorite character is. You have the iron head who is always smoking on the court. Oh yeah, bruce lee is the team's goalie, then as back up goalie you have a very heroic performance played by the stomach master.

Sorry I am throwing so much stuff at you here, but this movie is really that crazy. The story is about a cripple(one leg) meets stephen chow(mighty steel leg) and teaches him to play soccer. Stephen gathers his brothers together, and all try to redevelop their kungfu to apply it to soccer.

Now even though this is a good movie all around, this movie really flips the switch when the soccer matches start. This movie has that certain kinetic enery that draws you in towards the tv and, the only other movie I can think of is Iron Monkey.

This movie is for all ages, with a very limited number of jokes(2-4) where your kids might have needed to look away.

This dvd has both chinese and american versions. The chinese version is of course like 25 min. longer than the american, but the american version is surprisingly acceptable.




Best movie I've seen since lord of the rings, best movie I saw before that was gladiotar, before that was requiem for a dream, etc. so this movie is pretty freaking good, don't keep passing it over for the next year or two like I made the mistake of doing.

one of the best kung fu comedies i have ever seen!! i highly recommend kung fu hustle by stephen chow as well!!! or any of his movies.. they are all hilarious!

Enjoyable,funny movie. It's a real kick!

This movie is a new generation of the Chinese comedy, I enjoyed a lot watching this movie as well as Stephen Chow new movie Kung Fu Hustle which it is funny as hell.
