Meet George Jetson...
A fantastic sci-fi comedy which creates the same situations we all loved in "The Flintstones" with a futuristic twist. Although, they DO have a flat screen TV the size of a football field which you can by today at any electronics mega store.
I always enjoyed the humor of this show which Hannah and Barberra did so well. My mother loved it in her 80s and my 10 year old daughter is a huge fan. It's a great package!

Rekindling my childhood
Enjoyed very much and especially when it brought back loads of fond memories from the past! The color and clarity was superb also. Highly recommend for 50 and over gang! 2007-11-21

MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE HB DVD SO FAR!!!!!!!!
When I recieved this DVD in the mail, it was an instant hit with me. My mom recognized this show all over, she said that it was one of her favorite shows back on Saturday Mornings.
This was Janet Waldo's first cartoon, playing as Judy Jetson, and Mrs. Galaxy (Mr. Spacely's secretary). George (Voice Of George Jetson), Penny (Voice Of Jane Jetson), Daws (Voice Of Elroy), Don (Voice Of Astro), & Mel (Voice Of Mr. Spacely), all did a great job. And I also give a good job performance to Jean Vander Pyl (Voice of Rosie The Robot) since she wasn't credited in the show's credits.
So sad that it only had 24 primetime episodes. But I have heard from commentary that they did make 65 more Jetsons episodes. So I hope they will release a "Complete Second Season" of the Jetsons.
My Score: 9 out of 10 4.85 out of 5

Classic animated show whose run was far too short.
Most everyone I am sure would have already recognized this as the "real Jetsons" from the early 60's. Not that poor imitation of "new Jetson episodes" that were created sometime back in the mid to late 80's. But I'll admit I wondered when I saw "Season One" in the description as I am thinking there were enough of those latter episodes for more than one season to exist. But if by chance you were wondering too, rest assured this is original Jetson's that existed for only that one classic season.
If you enjoyed these original episodes, either as I did as a kid at the time they were new or in the years they ran in syndication (well, actually I did that too), you should enjoy this package. The video and audio quality are excellent on my set. What I personally found interesting, looking back at the early 1960's imagination of Hanna Barbara and the writing staff, is not only what they foresaw that could be part of the future that so far are not part of our present day, but also some things they couldn't foresee that are part of our present day. They had video phones in practical everyday commercial use, moving sidewalks, space cars, commercial traffic to the moon and the planets, robot secretary's and football players, and rapid transit so fast Judy could go swimming after school in Acapulco and be back home in time for dinner. Yet, George still worked on a computer the size of the old style of the time where the hard drive took up an entire wall or more and these robot secretary's typed on typewriters with no sign of word processors or personal computers and no existence of spell check, and George at least once received a "tele tape", which of course today would be on some kind of CD or disc. Interesting though, in one of the final episodes of the season (actually the final if remember correctly) a classmate of Elroy's was watching the "one millionth or one billionth rerun of The Flintstones" on an wrist television or video device. Today we have cell phones with Internet and video capability so there was at least one future sight by the creative staff way back then that has basically become reality today.
It was very interesting for me to view these episodes, in their entirety, after the years of edited syndication and, more recently, years of not seeing them at all. I was surprised to realize Rosie the Robot Maid appeared so few times. Unless I missed something, which I'll admit I easily could have, she appears only twice, in the first episode and later when Henry creates "Mac". I have enjoyed this DVD set, I only wish there had been more seasons done back then, at the beginning, when the creativity was fresh and alive.
