Gentle Tai Chi

I bought this tape to use in a Senior Adult Exercise Class that I teach at my church. They are mostly between the ages of 72 - 85 and for the most part, they enjoyed it; however, I found some didn't quite understand the meaning behind it or the benefits that you can receive... I personally enjoyed it and use it at home. I am going to continue to use it off and on until they become more comfortable with "something new"

Just a few warm up moves put together in a kota. Might be good if you wanted something short to do while sitting.

Gentle Tai Chi is an excellent starter video. It starts out in a chair. The entire routine is shown and then taught in sections.
I have bad, bad knees and this isn't that bad for my knees. I have eliminated a few of the steps until I develop more muscle tone.

This DVD does what it says. It goes through 12 basic Tai Chi steps, links them together, and takes plenty of time teaching you them. If you already have a Tai Chi background then this is probably to low of a level for you. It works slowly and gently, but you can still feel like you accomplished something once it's done, and the best part is if you are injured/sick/disabled you can do all the moves seated!

It is just as advertised, easy to follow and gentle enough for someone like me who has arthritis to do.
