The Birdcage

My only regret is that I never took the opportunity to see this movie in the theatre. It's hilarious and Robin Williams and Nathan Lane as well as Gene Hackman portray their roles with such believeability. My favorite scenes are when everyone is together for dinner. A definite must see!

I only watched this movie because my wife said she'd watch all 3 Naked Gun movies only if I would watch Birdcage. Simply put, this was not a movie I ever had a desire to see.
Now, I like Robin Williams. He can make me laugh like few other actors. And, he does just that in this movie. His part is hilarious.
The part of his partner (Victor), was borderline nausiating. I kept an open mind with the whole gay issue, but Victor went a little above and beyond. As does the houseboy.
Gene Hackman as a straight-laced senator gives a great performance. Make sure you keep an eye on him at the end of the movie. He steals the scene.
Other than that, I give it 3-stars because Williams and Hackman hold it all together.

Nathan Lane and Robin Williams need I say more! The movie will have you laughing with tears in your eyes. Seeing Gene Hackman in drag is worth the price of the movie.

I have always loved Robin Williams and this is a classic. Nathan Lane is fall down hysterical as Albert. The supporting cast is superb. Hank who plays Agador nails it.
I highly recommend this DVD!!!

I absolutely love this movie! It is so funny. If you've only seen it on tv you havent experienced the movie. For some odd reason the foul language is really important. The lines just dont work as well without it. This is one of my favorite movies. Its funny, sweet, and dramatic. Nathan Lane is fantastic in this movie. Absolutely hysterical! Its a movie that never gets old. I've seen about 1000 times and I love it everytime. Everybody I know whos seen it feels the same way. Definitely a must see
