Spookley the Square Pumpkin

The children enjoyed the video, it was very good! It went right along with the book.

I used the Spookley movie for a classroom lesson on friendship and tolerance of differences, in relation to a special needs child. The children loved the story and really understood the message. The lesson led to a great discussion of how to stand up for others when they are being teased. Even better, the children extended more kindness to the special needs child that day, and stood up for him when he was teased on the playground.

My son loved the music and I loved lt for it is very hard to find something not covered in blood and gore for a child to watch on Halloween.

My children love this movie. We had rented it the last two years. As soon as October came this year, my children (6 & 4) were asking about Spookley and that's when we decided it was time to purchase it (I also picked up the book). A great kid/family show. Cute songs and a good story. I know this is one we will watch year after year in our house.

My 2 year old son saw this movie on Disney channel 3 weeks before Halloween. All he kept saying after that was "watch punkin movie." All other Halloween movies he said,"no,no."
Here we are approaching Christmas and he still wants the punkin movie. It has a great moral to the story and a lot of cute songs to get stuck in your head. He has a great time watching it and laughs at a lot of it. I'm glad I made the purchase and delivery came the day before Halloween.
I could have given it as a Christmas present and he still would watch throughout the year.
